Water plants provide many benefits to the pond. They absorb broken down fish waste. They shade the pond. They provide protection and breeding areas for your fish. They provide a food source for wildlife.
Your plants should be taken out of the pot and planted in the gravel in your pond. You should cover your pond at least 30% with plants.
